Statistics Calculator

Type a list of numbers. You get mean, median, mode, quartiles and standard deviation — plus combinations, permutations and normal-distribution probabilities.

Example — Mean of 2, 4, 4, 6Mean = 4, median = 4

How we got it — the example, step by step

  1. Add everything: 2 + 4 + 4 + 6 = 16.
  2. Divide by the count, 4: 16 ÷ 4 = 4.
  3. Median: the middle two values are 4 and 4, so the median is 4.

Questions people also ask

Population or sample standard deviation?
Both are printed, labelled. Population divides by n; sample divides by n − 1. Use sample when your numbers are a sample of something bigger.

Can it do combinations?
Yes — C(n, r) and P(n, r) with the formula written out in numbers, and normal probabilities from a mean, a standard deviation and a value.
