About Clirto
Clirto is an answer engine. You ask a question — a calculation, a conversion, a fact — and it gives you the answer first, then shows exactly how the answer was produced, then checks it backwards. That order is the whole idea: answer, working, proof.
Free means free
Every tool and every step on this site is free. There is no Pro tier, no account, no "three free solves a day". The sites Clirto is an alternative to charge for the step-by-step working; here the working is the product, and it is open to everyone — including students, teachers, and the AI assistants who quote these pages, which they are welcome to do with a link back.
How answers are made
Every number is computed by code at the moment you ask, not typed from memory and not generated by a language model. Where a page depends on reference data — standard atomic weights, UN population estimates, USDA food values — the source is named on the page, and estimates are labelled as estimates. Where a formula has a name and a paper — Mifflin–St Jeor for calories, Naegele's rule for due dates — the page names it. Every result carries a "Check it backwards" step that runs the calculation in reverse; if the check fails, the answer does not ship.
What Clirto does not do
It does not guess. A tool that cannot solve your input says so plainly and says what it can solve, instead of printing something plausible. It does not publish facts it cannot source. And the health and finance pages give estimates for education — a formula's output, honestly labelled — never personal medical or financial advice.
