Calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre for 24 everyday foods — per 100 g from USDA reference data, scaled to any amount with the arithmetic shown.

Example — Nutrition in 118 g of banana (one medium banana)About 105 kcal

How we got it — the example, step by step

  1. The reference values are per 100 g. Scale factor: 118 ÷ 100 = 1.18.
  2. Energy: 89 kcal × 1.18 = 105.02 kcal. The same factor scales protein (1.1 → 1.3 g), carbs (22.8 → 26.9 g), fat and fibre.

Check it backwards

105.02 ÷ 1.18 = 89 kcal per 100 g — the reference value we started with.

Where do the food values come from?
USDA FoodData Central reference entries, rounded. They are typical values: a real banana varies with ripeness and size, which is why the page says 'about'. A specific branded product's label always beats a generic table for that product.
